Mike Nicholas is a former rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s and '80s, coach of the 1980s…2000s, and current Wales Rugby League president, who at club level has played rugby union (RU) for Aberavon RFC, at representative level has played rugby league (RL) for Great Britain, and Wales, and at club level for Warrington, and Cardiff City (Bridgend) Blue Dragons, playing at Prop, or Second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12.[1]

International honours

Mike Nicholas won caps for Wales (RL) while at Warrington in 1975 against France, and England, in 1977 against England, and France, in 1978 against France, and in 1979 against England, and represented Great Britain (RL) in non-test matches.[2]

Challenge Cup final appearances

Mike Nicholas played in Warrington's 24-9 victory over Featherstone Rovers in the 1973-74 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 11 May 1974, and the 7-14 defeat to Widnes in the 1974-75 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 10 May 1975.

Coaching career

Mike Nicholas was the coach of Wales at the 2000 Rugby League World Cup.
